How to Get an ISBN in the United States and India? Traditional Publishing, Self-publishing

How to Get an ISBN for your Book?

The International Standard Book Number or ISBN is a numeric commercial book identifier, and it is always intended to be unique.

Each edition and variation of a publication is always assigned a separate ISBN. Except if it is a reprinting.

Your book in any edition, for example, audiobook, paperback, hardcover or eBook, will be assigned a different ISBN. The ISBN number is 13 digits long.

If you are from the US, you can get it from the Bowker and if you are from India, you can visit Raja Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN and apply for it.
